World English Language Day was observed on 23 April 2026 to celebrate the global influence and cultural importance of the English language. The date also marks the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare. To commemorate the occasion, the Department of English organized a program in the college seminar hall. Students from B.Com General and CA actively participated in the event. A digital presentation was delivered on the theme, “Language is the bridge that connects minds and cultures.” Through this program, students developed an understanding of the historical evolution of the English language and were inspired to enhance their language and communication skills.

The Department of English, PSC KVSC Government Degree College, Nandyal, organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "Half a Rupee Worth" on Saturday, 28th March 2026. The programme was held in the classroom premises of the college located at Moolasagaram, Bommala Satram Road, Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh – 518502. The session was inaugurated with a formal introduction of the distinguished guest speaker, Dr. V. Krishna Murthy, Lecturer in English, GDC Yerraguntla, by the faculty coordinator. The Principal/Head of the Department extended a warm welcome to the resource person and the assembled students of B.Com class. Dr. V. Krishna Murthy commenced his lecture with an engaging introduction to the story, drawing connections between the fictional narrative and everyday moral choices.

The Department of English, PSC KVSC Government Degree College, Nandyal, organised a Guest Lecture on Phonetics – The Science of Pronunciation for BA students. The lecture was conducted with the aim of enhancing students' understanding of the sounds of the English language and improving their pronunciation and spoken English skills. A distinguished guest speaker was invited to enlighten the students on the fundamentals of Phonetics, including the classification of sounds, phonemic symbols, vowels, consonants, and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The resource person engaged students with practical demonstrations and interactive exercises, making the session lively and informative. The programme was coordinated by the faculty of the Department of English and was attended by a good number of BA students. The session proved to be highly beneficial in building the students' confidence in spoken English and academic communication

A Bridge Course is a short-term academic intervention designed to bridge the learning gap between the previous educational level and the current programme. The Department of English, PSC & KVSC Government Degree College, Nandyala, organised a ten-day Bridge Course in Vocabulary and Grammar for first-year undergraduate students admitted to the college in the academic year 2025–26. First-year students arrive from diverse educational backgrounds — rural government schools, regional-medium schools, and private institutions — resulting in a wide disparity in English language proficiency. The Bridge Course aimed to equip every student with a common foundational understanding of English vocabulary and grammatical structures before formal curriculum instruction began
