About the ELC
The establishment of the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) at the college level is specifically designed for individuals in the age range of 18-21 years, who are actively pursuing their undergraduate education. The primary function of the ELC is to serve as a platform dedicated to fostering electoral literacy among students within the specified age group, employing various related activities. The overarching goal is to raise awareness and sensitize these students to their electoral rights while also acquainting them with the non-partisan and apolitical aspects of the electoral process, encompassing registration and voting procedures.
A committee was formed, with the principal serving as the convener and additional members, comprising a nodal officer, staff members, and student representatives. The primary responsibility of this committee is to coordinate and oversee the organization of diverse activities aimed at elucidating electoral procedures and processes.
