The Principal of the College, Dr. Shashikala garu inaugurated Certificate Course on ‘Basics of House Wiring’ today i.e. on 03-02-2025. The Department of Physics, in association with the Department of Mathematics, started this Certificate Course to train the students in the Basics of House wiring so that they can undertake minor repairs in their homes. The Course is planned for 30 hours starting from 03-02-2025 to 07-03-2025. The training will be given by the Resource Person, Sri Mohammad Ali garu. At the end of Training, exam will be conducted to the students Certificates will be issued to the successful students.

On the occasion of National Science Day, Science Club, in association with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology Departments, conducted Quiz Competition using PPTs for the students. The students were divided into A, B and C groups, with each group consisting of students from all Science courses. The Quiz consists of 20 questions from different fields. The students actively involved in the Quiz and exhibited Team work with lots discussions with the team members before answering the questions. The Team B stood on the top following Team A and Team C. Later the Principal, Dr. N. Shashikala garu and Dr. Shasikala, Lecturer in Physics explained the importance of the National Science Day. The celebration is concluded by distributing Prizes to the winners of the Quiz competition and biscuits to all participants.

Every year the Department of Physics conducts Rice donation Programme as a part of Best practices. We motivate the students to service the poor and to donate rice from their houses voluntarily. We give a time of 7 days to collect the fist of rice. Collected rice is donated to St Lukes blind school in Nandyal. The blind students are feel very happy by this service of students

In this visit, about 45 students were gathered in a classroom and the Faculty explained about the strengths of their individual Departments and encouraged them to join in the college for UG Programmes. Further they requested the Principals of the schools to encourage their students who are willing to join UG Programmes to choose PSC & KVSC Govt. College, Nandyal. The Junior College Staff and students are cordially invited to visit all the Departments, Labs, JKC, NCC, NSS, Gym, Skill Hub and the facilities that are available in the College. The staff of the respective Departments explained about their strengths and facilities. The visitors interacted with zeal and enquired about their queries. About 75 Inter students and 8 Staff members participated in this Program.

International Yoga day was celebrated on 21-06-2024 by the Department of Physics in coordination with Departments of Commerce & Physical Education. As a part of celebration the staff and students participated in online Yoga training at 5:30 AM under the supervision of the Yoga Master K J Sri Devi from Chennai. Later at 10:30 AM, International Webinar was organized on the importance of the Yoga. The resource person, Dr. Yuva Dayalan from Malaysia explained different Yoga asanas which are useful for daily life. 23 faculty members & 74 Students participated and benefitted by this programme.
